About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Representative to join our commercial team at Altair Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and identifying new opportunities to support our sales funnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive networking, email outreach, cold calling, and other lead generation techniques.
  • Develop and execute a lead generation plan, achieving or exceeding monthly targets.
  • Conduct market and territory studies on targeted accounts, industries, and competitors.
  • Collaborate with our commercial team, technical support, and marketing department to develop new sales opportunities on key accounts across various industries.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to create account management plans.
  • Understand client needs and challenges and respond with Altair's solution portfolio.
  • Regularly follow up with potential clients.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of commercial experience as a BDR/SDR or a role with B2B client contact, preferably in the technology or engineering sector.
  • Degree in a related field (commercial, technical, or engineering).
  • Proficiency in using software such as MS Office and CRM (Salesforce preferred).
  • Strong team player with a motivated, confident, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in French and good English language skills.
  • Proactive, creative, and able to take initiatives.
  • Honest, responsible, assertive, organized, and rigorous.
  • Able to solve problems and propose innovative solutions to meet market needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
