Overview and Responsibilities

As a Technical Sales Consultant specializing in Storage Solutions, you will advocate for Lenovo's infrastructure offerings, which encompass block, file, and software-defined storage systems. Your role will involve collaboration with CTOs, IT decision-makers, Lenovo's pre-sales and sales teams, partners, and independent software vendors (ISVs) to deliver exceptional value to our clientele.

Your primary focus will be on cultivating opportunities within the Lenovo infrastructure solutions landscape throughout the sales process. This includes comprehending customer business and technical needs, architecting tailored solutions, and guiding opportunities to closure by showcasing the value we provide.

Key Responsibilities:


• Identify and define Data Management initiatives (whether on-premises, hybrid cloud, or public cloud) by serving as a trusted advisor within your designated territory.


• Build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities related to Software-Defined Data Centers and/or Storage Infrastructure within your assigned regions.


• Foster and sustain relationships with customers, particularly at the Technical Director level and higher.


• Keep clients and partners informed about the latest technologies, innovations, and the benefits of Lenovo's ISG Storage and Data Management solutions that are pertinent to their sectors.


• Recognize customer projects, comprehend their technical specifications, and collaboratively develop effective and valuable solutions alongside the broader product and technical community, sales teams, and business partners.


• Lead and/or contribute technical insights to tenders, RFIs, and RFPs.


• Create and deliver compelling technical presentations on products and architectures to customers, partners, and colleagues, leveraging your expertise in storage product trends, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings in the DAS, NAS, and SAN domains.

Required Qualifications:


• Proven experience in supporting enterprise sales of converged solutions (storage, networking, virtualization) or storage solutions for large enterprise clients.


• In-depth knowledge of the architecture, design, and implementation of contemporary IT systems and cloud infrastructures.


• Familiarity with trends and technologies related to storage and software-defined storage solutions.


• Proficient in articulating Lenovo's sales and technical solutions to senior-level clients, effectively communicating the value proposition.


• Awareness of the local competitive landscape in storage, business partner objectives, and the industry environment of customers.


• Capable of developing SAN, NAS, and Object Storage architectures tailored to specific application or workload requirements.


• Proficient in English to facilitate communication with Lenovo's international teams and clients.


• Demonstrable experience in at least three of the following infrastructure technologies:

o Enterprise Storage, including Software-Defined Storage (e.g., Pure, Dell, NetApp)

o VMware Virtualization (e.g., ESXi, vCloud Director, vRealize, vSAN)

o Hybrid Cloud Technologies and Cloud Hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

o All-Flash Storage

o Software-Defined and Object Storage

o Data Protection Technologies
