About Technip Energies Lyon

Within the Technip Energies universe, the Lyon center is referenced as the group's expertise center in the field of polyolefins. Specialized in green chemistry and life sciences, it also accompanies the development of innovative technologies in areas such as biotechnologies or synthesized and bio-sourced products. You will understand that this center of over 500 people responds to a diversity of engineering projects of various sizes (over €400 million for some projects) with a positioning on projects with very advanced design and technically rich for our engineers.

About the Role

As a Confirmed Electrical Project Manager - Deputy Head of Electrical Service, you are responsible for the engineering of the electrical part of projects in the fields of green chemistry, bio-sourced products, pharmacy, and industry.

You will gradually provide support to the Head of Service on other project follow-up functions, time estimates, and ensure his replacement in case of absence. You are the central point of contact between the Project Team, the Client, and the Electrical Service Responsible. Depending on the project size, you will be in charge of a team of engineers and technicians adapted to its realization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Organize, coordinate, and supervise the assigned Electrical Team on the Project.
  • Ensure the integration of contractual aspects and follow-up of work procedures and Quality.
  • Ensure the design of the electrical production and distribution network on the Project.
  • Guide technical choices to meet planning, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Write general design specifications for the electrical installation.
  • Pilot installation studies: electrical room dimensioning, implantation in units, pathways...
  • Verify and/or approve documents issued by the team and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate interfaces with related services: Process, HSE Design, Equipment, Installation, Civil Engineering - Structure, Purchasing, Construction Contracts, Inspection, and Construction.
  • Maintain active communication with external stakeholders (Client, partners, subcontractors, suppliers).
  • Provide regular reporting.
  • Control project progress and budget hours.
  • Anticipate and manage risks and changes.
  • Ensure follow-up and control of quantities.

Your mission will allow you to participate in all stages of project realization, from design to site commissioning, including engineering realization studies, reception tests, and construction follow-up.

About You
  • You hold an engineering degree in the field of electricity, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in electricity in engineering for export projects in industrial sectors.
  • You have a first management experience and a genuine interest in managing operational teams.
  • You possess strong leadership and a global vision of the engineering process.
  • You know how to take into account the needs and specificities of clients.
  • You are comfortable interacting with diverse cultures, interlocutors, and environments, speak English fluently, and are mobile for travel in France and abroad.
  • You have significant experience on Revamping / degassing / extension projects, and polyvalence in terms of activity sector (chemistry, industries, pharmacy). The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is a plus for this role.

An experience of supervising work abroad or a mission in expatriation in another Technip Energies engineering center can quickly broaden your skills.

This role will allow you to evolve within the electrical service towards the position of Head of Service or towards a Project Engineer function, where new challenges such as client relations, contract management, and polyvalence await you.

Evolution towards transversal functions (digitalization, planning, estimation, construction contracts...) is also possible according to your own skills.
