About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Microscopy Image Analysis Engineer to join our team at the Institut Curie. As a key member of our research unit, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing advanced image analysis techniques to support our research goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and maintain the operation of our microscopes, ensuring optimal performance and image quality.
  • Design, implement, and validate image analysis workflows and tools for multidimensional fluorescence microscopy datasets.
  • Train and support researchers in the use of image analysis software and tools, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and maintain a comprehensive image analysis pipeline.
  • Participate in the development of research articles, including image analysis methods and results.
  • Present research findings and methods at team meetings and conferences.
Requirements
  • Hold an engineering degree or master's degree in (bio)computer science, (bio)physics, applied mathematics, or a related field.
  • Have professional experience in optics/microscopy and image analysis in research or research activity support.
  • Strong experience in image processing, data visualization, and software development (Icy, Fiji/ImageJ, Napari).
  • Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, Java, or C/C++.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
