Job Title: Internship in AI Model Evaluation and Enhancement
RATP EPIC is looking for a motivated intern to join our Testing and Measurement Laboratory (TML). Our laboratory specializes in conducting rigorous assessments in the railway industry, particularly in the domains of Physico-Chemistry, Electricity, and Mechanics. The intern will play a crucial role in evaluating and refining AI models designed for predicting rail temperatures, contributing to the safety and operational efficiency of our railway systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the team to assess and enhance the AI model for rail temperature predictions
- Analyze model performance through various regression and classification metrics
- Optimize the model to ensure high sensitivity and specificity, thereby minimizing maintenance burdens and infrastructure risks
- Improve model reliability and transparency by defining temperature prediction ranges and possibly adjusting the neural network architecture
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Familiarity with AI models, including LSTM and Random Forest techniques
- Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail
