About the Job

Within the Product Development team, the Project Manager - Product Operations plays a key role in creating the framework and coordinating activities for GrandVision retail brands, Essilor Online private labels, and other banners/brands within the mainstream frames scope.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop the New Product Introduction (NPI) calendar for the product team's scope, following 2 main releases per year for 3 retail brands, 5 online business units, and ad-hoc customers.
  • Create and maintain the master calendar (GANT) for each release, assessing resource allocation, workload, and timelines.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and build mitigation plan proposals.
  • Ensure continuous cross-functional stakeholder alignment, evolving business needs.
  • Monitor releases, controlling and reporting progress of product development activities and deadlines to ensure products go live on time.
  • Team animation: communicate and activate the Product Development and Brand Content teams on key deliverables, timelines, resources, and accountabilities.
Project Management Supporting the Integration Journey
  • Act as the project manager officer (PMO) for ongoing integration activities related to Product.
  • Translate and facilitate across organizations, serving as the key point of contact for EssilorLuxottica corporate functions.
  • Have an end-to-end vision of the product development process in EL systems and overseas optimizations and bottlenecks.
  • Support management functions in change conduct and promote it inside the product team with training, show-and-tell, and brainstorming.
  • Ensure smooth information flow and full stakeholders' alignment with weekly meetings, minutes, formalized presentations.
  • Provide visibility on integration and implementation status to subject matter experts, senior management, and operational teams.
Process Mapping, Maintenance, and Improvement
  • Responsible for the Product Development Process, tools, and calendars.
  • Act as a pivot in understanding EssilorLuxottica processes and digesting them in an operational way for the mainstream product team.
  • Build dedicated processes and harmonized methodologies according to mainstream specificities, in compliance with group standards.
  • Involve and align all concerned stakeholders.
  • Show a continuous improvement mindset, frequently leading REX meetings.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited college/university (scientific studies background a plus).
  • Certification in project management a plus (ACP, PMP, PRINCE2...).
  • 5 years of experience.
  • Product Development knowledge environment/GotoMarket experience a plus.
  • Project management knowledge.
  • English (oral, written), Italian, and/or French a plus.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • MS Project or other project management software.
  • PLM Enovia a plus.
  • EssilorLuxottica processes and stakeholders knowledge.

Very good communication skills.
