Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Post-doctoral Research Fellow to join our team at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing advanced X-ray imaging workflows accessible and usable by the biological user community.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance high-resolution cryo-tomography for combined use of X-rays and electrons
- Develop sample mounting systems and automated image registration for correlative multi-modal investigations across length scales
- Validate developments through applications in the field in collaboration with partner European research infrastructures
Requirements
- PhD in biology, physics, chemistry, or a related discipline obtained less than 3 years ago
- Strong background in microscopy and proficiency in data processing
- Experience in synchrotron radiation experiments is an asset
- Ability to interact with multi-disciplinary staff
- Proficiency in English (working language at the ESRF)
Working Conditions
Contract of 18 months, renewable for a further 6 or 18-month period
We offer a competitive compensation package, including financial support for relocation to Grenoble
