Postdoctoral Research Fellow in X-ray Nanoprobe Group

The ESRF is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the X-ray Nanoprobe group at the ID16A Nano-Imaging beamline. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the development of innovative research projects in line with the beamline's scientific scope and X-ray microscopy capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and conduct research projects in collaboration with the beamline team and external users
- Operate and maintain the ID16A beamline, providing support to external users as local contact
- Participate in ongoing collaborations and contribute to the advancement of the beamline's scientific scope
- Interact with multi-disciplinary staff and facility users to ensure seamless collaboration
- PhD in materials science, physics, or biology obtained within the last three years
- Strong background in microscopy and data processing is desirable
- Experience in synchrotron radiation experiments is an asset
- Proficiency in English (working language at the ESRF)
- Contract of 18 months, renewable for a further 6 or 18-month period
- Opportunity to work in a vibrant city, in the heart of the Alps, and Europe's Green Capital 2022
