Staff Full-time KCTCS System OfficePosition Overview:
The Grant Financial Analyst is an essential member of the Sponsored Projects Accounting team. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial integrity of KCTCS, ensuring that our colleges and programs operate smoothly. The individual in this position will also serve as a vital resource for our colleges, providing necessary guidance and support.
This position requires a hybrid work schedule, with an expectation of being onsite a minimum of three days per week. The hybrid arrangement is subject to periodic evaluation and may be adjusted as needed.
This is a defined-term contract role that is renewable each fiscal year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and disseminate reports to KCTCS contract sponsors, grant providers, oversight bodies, and other significant stakeholders.
- Manage daily accounting and reporting tasks for all grants and contracts, utilizing systems such as Peoplesoft for journal entries and transaction recording.
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with KCTCS personnel and sponsors regarding grant and contract details and requirements.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of grant and contract revenues and expenditures on a daily basis.
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sponsored Projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, along with two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
