About the Role

Safran, a leading aerospace company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Progress Leader to join its Industrial Operations team. As a key member of the Safran Progress initiative, you will be responsible for supporting operational excellence across various industrial activities within Safran and its tier companies in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support internal customers (Safran tier companies) in their transformation plans, performance improvement initiatives, and projects in industrial operation domains.
  • Deploy, embark, and sustain operational excellence journeys in various industrial operation domains.
  • Interact with all operational domains, understanding the Safran Group company culture, products, and services.
  • Lead diagnostic and preliminary activities, root cause determination, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Suggest and steer improvement working plans, lead workshops, and team working activities.
  • Sustain and support change management activities with customer teams.
  • Use One Safran Group standards and methodologies to build sustainable solutions.
  • Act as a coach and project leader, transferring content and knowledge.
  • Organize and lead training sessions as a trainer, cascading Safran training content.

Requirements

  • Graduated Engineer with at least 15-20 years of experience in managing Total Quality in Supply Chain or Industrial Operations.
  • Good knowledge of MRP2 processes, supply chain referential, and associated tools (ERP systems).
  • APICS certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Knowledge of APQP referential and industrialization of engineered products.
  • Robust and strong references in managing performance improvement within organizations.
  • Mastering of root cause determination and problem resolution techniques.
  • Project management practices allowing to structure companies projects.
  • Ability to act as an effective project leader over major complex projects.
  • Ability to animate and lead team activities.

Specificity of the Job

The job position will be located in Safran SA offices in France. The area of action for the individual includes any Safran site over its footprint. This activity may require frequent traveling, including internationally.
