This role will play a crucial part in supporting international engineering projects by ensuring seamless contract execution and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of active contracts, providing expert guidance to project managers, and collaborating closely with various departments. Your expertise will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of customer and vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies, and driving successful project outcomes.
Your Responsibilities:- Manage a diverse range of contracts, encompassing fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, time and material, and incentive-based agreements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters, effectively communicating with project managers, customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Develop comprehensive training materials to summarize key contractual terms and conditions, ensuring clear understanding across all stakeholders.
- Monitor contract performance diligently, identifying potential risks or issues and implementing corrective actions promptly.
- Draft and negotiate change orders, amendments, and other contractual documents, safeguarding Westinghouse's interests.
- Maintain meticulous records of all contract-related activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Contribute to new business development initiatives by providing commercial expertise during offer negotiations.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure seamless integration of contractual obligations into project execution.
- Lead contract close-out procedures, ensuring all deliverables are met and final payments are processed accurately.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or Juris Doctor preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in contract management or project management roles, with a focus on engineering/industrial contracts.
- Strong understanding of various contract types and their implications for project execution.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with senior management and diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively and resolve contractual disputes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
