Job Summary
The Capital Project Manager (Manager III, Administrative Leadership) is responsible for managing professional architectural or engineering services for capital construction or facilities maintenance projects. This includes providing expertise to the Office of Facilities Support Services, Colleges, and governmental agencies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, architecture, or engineering, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the design and construction of capital projects, including renovations, new construction, and maintenance projects.
- Provide professional expertise to the Office of Facilities Support Services, Colleges, and governmental agencies.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules.
- Supervise and monitor Capital Project Specialists.
- Ensure compliance with KCTCS procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Landscape Architecture.
- Four years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Licensed as a professional architect or engineer by the State Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects or the State Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Eight years of relevant experience or equivalent.
