Capital Project Manager

The Capital Project Manager is responsible for managing professional architectural or engineering services for Capital Construction or Facilities Maintenance projects. This includes providing expertise to the Office of Facilities Support Services, Colleges, and governmental agencies. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Landscape Architecture, and four years of relevant experience or equivalent. Must be licensed as a professional architect or engineer by the State Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects or the State Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages professional architectural or engineering services for Capital Construction or Facilities Maintenance projects
Provides expertise to the Office of Facilities Support Services, Colleges, and governmental agencies
Inspects, observes, and monitors construction projects to evaluate the quality of work, adherence to time schedule, adherence to budget, and compliance with construction plans and specifications
Reviews, approves, and processes pay documents for professional consultants and technical contracting firms related to the design and construction of projects
Develops and maintains documentation of and for projects, including final archival record documents
Organizes and conducts meetings with College Representatives, professional consultants, and technical construction contractors in the design and construction of major projects
Reports the results of the meetings indicated above to the Director of Design and Contraction on a regular basis
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Landscape Architecture
Four years of relevant experience or equivalent
Must be licensed as a professional architect or engineer by the State Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects or the State Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Landscape Architecture
Eight years of relevant experience or equivalent
