About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Molecular Designer in Crop Protection to join our dynamic and creative team based in Lyon. As a key member of our global R&D organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the development of innovative crop protection solutions against plant diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and propose new molecules with fungicidal activity and high agronomic potential, integrating digital technologies with chemistry science.
  • Develop and apply modern Data Science approaches to chemical research, including structure-based design, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning.
  • Collaborate with internal and external chemists to evaluate and optimize classes of innovative molecules, pushing beyond current standards of sustainability and performance.
  • Ensure high safety standards and compliant action, adhering to laws, regulations, and directives.

Requirements:

  • PhD level or equivalent in Organic Chemistry.
  • Proven track record in applying modern Data Science approaches to chemical research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with intercultural knowledge and understanding.
  • Ability to learn, solve problems, and structure complex tasks, inspiring and motivating colleagues.
  • Fluency in English is required, basic knowledge in French and/or German is appreciated.
