About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse to join our team and contribute to the well-being of children under six years old within our community. This role focuses on promoting health, providing support to families, and ensuring the safety and protection of young children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement health promotion and prevention programs for children under six years old, empowering parents with knowledge and resources to ensure their child's healthy development.
  • Provide comprehensive support to parents in navigating the challenges of childcare, offering guidance and assistance in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for their children.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individual or collective projects that address the specific needs of children and families within our community.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and follow-ups for childminders, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care and safety for the children entrusted to them.
  • Offer consultations and home visits to expectant mothers and new parents, providing personalized support and guidance throughout their parenting journey.
  • Participate actively in health assessments at preschools, contributing to early identification of potential health concerns and ensuring a healthy learning environment for young children.
  • Organize educational activities on various aspects of child health promotion, raising awareness within the community and empowering parents with practical knowledge.
  • Play a vital role in child protection by evaluating concerning information and collaborating with relevant authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.
  • Supervise parent-child visits facilitated through social assistance programs, providing a safe and supportive environment for families to connect and strengthen their bonds.
  • Monitor childcare facilities, ensuring they adhere to established regulations and standards to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Qualifications

  • Registered nurse or pediatric nurse qualification with a demonstrated commitment to child health and well-being.
  • A strong foundation in ethical principles, upholding respect for users and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, enabling effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Project management skills and the ability to propose innovative ideas that enhance child health services within our community.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, ensuring clear and concise communication in all written materials.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to healthcare administration and documentation.
  • A highly motivated, autonomous, and adaptable individual with a genuine passion for working with children and families.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and personal vehicle to facilitate home visits and community outreach activities.
