We are excited to present an opportunity for a seasoned Senior Employment Legal Counsel to become a vital part of our EMEA Employment Law Team.
This role will report directly to the Senior Director of EMEA Employment Law and will play a crucial role in supporting Adobe's expansion within the region.
Operating across 22 countries in EMEA, Adobe is experiencing rapid growth. The primary focus of this position will be to deliver employment legal guidance and support for our Western EMEA region, which encompasses countries such as France, Italy, Spain, and the Benelux nations.
This is a truly EMEA-centric role, offering the successful candidate the chance to navigate multi-jurisdictional challenges within a dynamic tech landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be an enthusiastic and proactive member of Adobe's Global Employment Legal Team.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across diverse organizational units.
- Exhibit leadership and innovative thinking to facilitate the successful completion of multi-functional projects.
- Provide strategic and pragmatic employment law support concerning all HR-related aspects of business initiatives and operations. This includes advising on HR legal compliance, complex employee relations issues, disciplinary and compliance investigations, hiring and terminations, diversity and inclusion initiatives, Works Council consultations, HR privacy and data protection matters, mergers and acquisitions, and a wide array of daily HR challenges.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with external legal counsel throughout the region.
- Assist in employment litigation matters.
Qualifications for Success:
- A qualified lawyer in France with approximately 10+ years of specialized employment law experience, either in a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel at a multinational corporation.
- Extensive expertise in supporting Works Council processes.
- Strong leadership qualities, with a proven track record of fostering constructive partnerships with colleagues and business leaders, and leading cross-functional teams when necessary.
- Excellent judgment and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to legal advice, with confidence in making risk-based decisions.
- Ability to operate independently on a daily basis.
- Capacity to constructively challenge senior leaders when appropriate.
- Effective prioritization skills, capable of managing a high volume of diverse matters.
- Comfort in navigating unfamiliar challenges and a willingness to embrace new opportunities.
- Proficiency in both English and French at a business level.
- Strong communication (both verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills. A collaborative approach to working across multiple teams is essential.
- Availability to work three days a week in our Paris office, with some travel as needed.
