We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Maersk. As a key member of our payroll organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of payroll services to our employees across the globe.
Key Responsibilities- Manage pre-payroll, on-cycle payroll, and off-cycle payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payment of employee salaries.
- Extract and provide T&A data to our payroll provider, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Validate payroll results and provide approvals for final pay credits based on control reports, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Annual payroll reconciliation and new Payroll Year preparation to ensure compliance with changing regulations and laws.
- Ensure timely Social Insurance Tax Payment and Reporting, maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory deadlines.
- Manage advance payments and adjust basic time configuration of systems as approved or required.
- Track vendor deliverables on payroll SLAs, using defined payroll metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Be risk-aware and help identify, report, mitigate, and track risks in the payroll delivery process, ensuring a secure and compliant environment.
- Support the Payroll team lead in providing necessary data and clarifications to questions raised by audit – internal and external.
- Manage the timely submission of RICC controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Solid hands-on experience in managing Payroll, Time & Attendance processes, within a complex international organization.
- Knowledge of compliance and legal regulations for payroll & benefits, with a strong understanding of global payroll requirements.
- Broader HR Operations experience, as well as exposure to an outsourced payroll model, would be a significant advantage.
- Ability to effectively engage and mobilize diverse local HR stakeholders, fostering cooperation and teamwork to find solutions.
- A proactive, 'let's get it done' attitude, geared towards continuous improvement and delivering results as per agreed timescales and scope.
- Flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, developing project environment, taking ownership and setting directions with minimal guidance.
- Resilience: the change process, is anything but straightforward; accepting uncertainty and bouncing back from setbacks while keeping your enthusiasm is a tall order, but we need it.
- Fluency in English and French is essential, with a highly analytical approach and a strong eye for detail.
