Sephora is seeking a highly skilled Product Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in driving our brand's sustainability standards globally.
About the OpportunityWe are looking for a talented individual to help us define what a more sustainable product looks like at Sephora. With the growing demand for products with a lower environmental impact, we need someone who can help us increase product sustainability and support our brands globally.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and evolve our Sephora Public Chemicals Policy, collaborating with NGOs and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Support the evolution of standards for Clean & Planet programs globally.
- Develop a long-term product sustainability strategy and policies.
- Support brands in adopting more sustainable practices and increasing transparency.
- Review and summarize technical information to help respond to brand inquiries about safer ingredient policies and building sustainability roadmaps.
- Write guidelines and develop training and educational materials on sustainability.
- Support cross-functional collaboration, working with merchants and other regional leads.
- Advises US merchant teams on Clean & Sustainability.
- Build and adapt efficient systems to communicate sustainability standards and criteria to internal teams.
- Understand best practices in sustainability, eco-design product development, and industry expectations in Sephora markets.
- Knowledge of the latest innovations in the beauty industry that have proven measures to lower environmental impact.
- Ability to understand sustainability successes and pain points for brands regionally through regulation, size, availability of materials, or other factors.
