Data Governance Specialist

The Data Governance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the proper operationalization of Data Governance in relation with all stakeholders. This includes meeting Data Governance program objectives, budget constraints, and timeline.
Data Office Roadmap and Program Monitoring:
Assist the Chief Data Officer (CDO) in defining the Data Office roadmap considering data-centric strategies involving Data Science and AI initiatives. Ensure that the Data Office roadmap is updated, and that KPIs allowing to supervise the governance program advancement are defined and monitored.
Data Office Resource and Budget Monitoring:
Ensure resource and budget availability and allocation for the Data Office. Make resource and budget allocation adjustments if necessary and report and escalate to the CDO as needed.
Change Management/Acculturation:
Ensure that the governance framework is communicated and promoted to identified audiences using prescribed channels. Participate with HR in the development of skills improvement plans of data actors. Ensure that HR are informed of new data roles nominations and support onboarding of new data roles.
Use Cases Identification and Data Governance Linkage:
Identify strategic use cases with an opportunity to deploy the governance framework. Ensure that data roles are identified and nominated in use cases especially where data pain points are detected. Make sure that Data Office policies are communicated and supervised by identified data roles. Ensure that identified data roles include data objectives in the use cases they intervene in. Ensure that use cases monitor data management KPIs: quality, access, etc. Monitor major issues and problems and identify opportunities of evolution of the Data Governance framework and make sure they are processed.
Catalog Ownership:
Guarantee the proper evolution of the data catalog and quality of its content regarding users' needs.
