About the Role

Barrington James is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist to join our team in the field of medication discovery. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for utilizing cutting-edge molecular simulation and quantum-physics based modelling technology to accelerate the discovery of new medications for difficult disease targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement molecular modelling and drug design strategies to identify potential new medications
  • Utilize structure-based drug design platforms, docking software, and molecular dynamics simulations to optimize medication candidates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into the development process
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in molecular simulation and quantum-physics based modelling technology
Requirements
  • PhD in physical chemistry, biophysics, theoretical chemistry, or a similar discipline with an emphasis on molecular modelling and drug design
  • Expertise in utilizing tools and software for drug discovery, such as structure-based drug design platforms, docking software, and molecular dynamics simulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
