Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Automation Engineer to join our team at Saint-Gobain. As a key member of our Technology Implementation team, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of automation and control systems to support process improvements and plant performance.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet EH&S standards and develop manufacturing optimization and process control tools.
  • Advise and assist Process Support and Plant Teams with improvement projects, conducting troubleshooting activities and providing input on MES and other systems.
  • Perform automation assessments in plants, propose automation improvement roadmaps, and support plants in their execution.
  • Provide training and coaching on Automation & Control to ensure project teams and plant personnel have sufficient knowledge and understanding.
  • Act as a Company SME expert in areas related to automation of equipment, industrial control systems, and process control applications.
  • Lead and coordinate investigations and studies with little supervision, consulting cross-functionally as an SME on systems and/or processes within your functional area.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in an Engineering or Science subject.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment as an Automation Engineer, ideally in plasterboard manufacturing.
  • Excellent knowledge of Automation and Control Systems, understanding of Process Engineering, and strong communication skills.
