Job Description

As a Process Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Technology Implementation Manager in the development of automation and control systems to enhance process improvements and plant performance. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the implementation of manufacturing optimization and process control tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet EH&S standards and develop automation solutions that drive process improvements.
  • Lead the implementation of manufacturing optimization and process control tools, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Process Support and Plant Teams on improvement projects, conducting troubleshooting activities as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of automation assessments, proposing improvement roadmaps and supporting plants in their execution.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in automation and control systems, providing training and coaching to project teams and plant personnel.
  • Lead and coordinate investigations and studies, consulting cross-functionally as an SME on systems and processes within your functional area.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in an Engineering or Science subject.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as an Automation Engineer, preferably in plasterboard manufacturing.
  • Excellent knowledge of automation and control systems, process engineering, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
