At Applied Materials, we are seeking a skilled Installation Engineer to join our team in the European regions. As a key member of our Iteam department, you will be responsible for the installation and start-up of semiconductor tools across Europe.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. You will be part of a dynamic team that travels extensively throughout Europe, with opportunities to support installations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tool installation tasks, including mechanical assembly, electrical connections, and robot calibrations.
- Follow checklists and procedures to ensure correct installation and troubleshooting.
- Test equipment with assistance from senior engineers and diagnostic techniques.
- Respond to fab issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce installation cycle time and costs.
- Provide accurate reporting of status, hours worked, and non-conformances.
Requirements:
- Associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree with a technical background.
- Some experience or knowledge with Applied Materials CVD/CMP/EPI tools is an advantage.
- Troubleshooting skills to solve mechanical and electrical issues during system installation.
- Ability to communicate daily pass-downs and equipment status reports.
- Project management skills to control installation projects within budget, timeline, and installation quality requirements.
- Ability to work autonomously and travel extensively throughout Europe.
