About this Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Director to drive our strategic Food business sales in the West Europe region.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and controlling sales business strategies and activities to achieve revenue, sales, and profit targets set by the Group.

You will build clear, achievable objectives for each member of the team in line with the agreed commercial strategy and ensure the right people are in place to deliver the agreed objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a commercial strategy for the Food business by market segment and region, reviewing and advising on commercial policies, pricing, product mix, and portfolio.
  • Participate in and contribute to the overall Strategy of Food Europe, a 5-year strategic plan.
  • Manage the commercial teams by setting goals in accordance with the commercial strategy, reviewing and monitoring sales results, and adapting the strategy based on results and the external environment.
  • Provide leadership and direct involvement to ensure compliance with the agreed commercial strategy for Key Accounts.
  • Work closely with Marketing counterparts to create a collaborative environment for enhancing sales growth globally, ensuring high-quality data is available to aid decision-making and providing New Product Development (NPD) to satisfy and exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead, motivate, challenge, and develop the team.

Your Profile

Functional Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of Packaging and Food businesses, with 15 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Master's degree in industrial or business engineering or economics.
  • Fluent English and French speaker, with Dutch as a plus.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with international customers, combined with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong sense of market opportunities for growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong expertise in presentations.
  • Proven managerial and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain winning teams.
  • Proven experience in risk assessment analysis and risk mitigation planning.
  • Proven experience in budget management and P&L-related parameters.
  • Microsoft Office proficient user.
