We are seeking a highly skilled Client Service Manager to join our ESOP Administration team at Principal Financial Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and providing consultation to several key client accounts, handling all aspects of their ESOP plans.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a working knowledge of ESOP technical requirements to create and propose solutions to meet client needs.
- Understand and implement key features on plan documents, including trust accounting, compliance testing, and government reporting.
- Take the lead on client ESOP allocations, reports, participant stock statements, and distribution and cash management services.
- Communicate with clients proactively to assist with questions, plan complexity discussions, education, participant data, and plan administration procedures.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Accounting or Finance preferred).
- 6+ years related business experience.
- Previous ESOP experience is required.
- Quality review experience is a plus.
- Strong accounting, numerical critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including problem-solving and persuasion/negotiation skills.
- Open to occasional overnight travel (1-3 times per year) to participate in customer meetings and industry conferences.
- Ability to balance working independently with working in a team environment to meet customer needs and achieve overall goals.
- Possess a strong understanding of accounting and record-keeping systems and PC applications.
At Principal Financial Group, we offer a competitive salary range of $51,000 - $98,400 per year, with opportunities for bonus and sales incentives. We also offer flexible time off, in-office, hybrid, and remote work arrangements, and a comprehensive benefits package.
