Join our team at Institut Mines-Télécom as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Hybrid Beamforming for Sub-THz Communication. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to contribute to our research project on hybrid beamforming schemes for sub-THz communication systems.
ContextInstitut Mines-Télécom is a public establishment belonging to the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom) network, placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty. Our research focuses on providing innovative solutions for the digital and environmental challenges of the 21st century.
Research ProjectThe successful candidate will investigate the state-of-the-art hybrid beamforming schemes for sub-THz communication, with a focus on both Fully-Connected and Array of Sub-Array architectures. The research will aim to design phase-noise-resilient hybrid beamforming schemes and integrate them with spatial modulations to enhance spectral efficiency and reduce transmit energy.
Requirements- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong background in optimization mathematics (convex and non-convex), signal processing, and communication theory
- Excellent programming skills in MATLAB and Python
- Good communication and writing skills in English
The position is available for 18 months, with a possibility of extension. The candidate will be based at our research center in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France, with opportunities for collaboration with our international partners.
