Key Responsibilities
- Direct the Oversight and Effectiveness division, with an emphasis on optimizing team performance and enhancing operational workflows.
- Assess and analyze team performance metrics, pinpointing areas for efficiency gains and effectiveness improvements.
- Offer specialized advice on financial crime mitigation strategies, adherence to regulations, and privacy risk management.
- Manage change initiatives and critically evaluate proposed modifications and controls.
- Share your expertise to provide valuable insights and contribute to training programs.
- Supervise outsourced operational functions to ensure alignment with Klarna's standards and regulatory obligations.
- Lead the SAR Gateway Team in executing thorough SAR evaluations, identifying critical cases for MLRO assessment, and addressing inquiries from law enforcement.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 8 years of experience within financial institutions, with a preference for exposure to fintech environments.
- Proficient in AML operational frameworks, particularly in alert management and investigative processes.
- Experience in 2nd line operations is preferred, though 1st line experience is acceptable.
- Demonstrated ability in team management and process enhancement.
- Knowledge of various regulatory compliance and privacy risk factors.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on driving efficiencies and improvements.
- Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to changes effectively.
