Role Overview
In light of a significant global restructuring, we are establishing a new Group Operational Excellence Division aimed at enhancing both top-line and bottom-line performance in stores. This initiative focuses on consistently improving in-store operations by utilizing both internal and external expertise and innovative practices, while also providing support for new openings and underperforming operations to promote profitable growth.
This newly formed division will comprise four specialized teams:
• Store Solutions
• Local Supply Chain, Loss Prevention, and Project Management
• Operational Quality Assurance
• Indirect Procurement
The Chief Operational Performance Officer also serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Europe, overseeing operations across four countries.
Key Responsibilities
The right hand to the Chief Operational Performance Officer will assist in various tasks associated with the Operational Performance Division, gaining substantial exposure to senior management and all operational regions:
Oversee the PMO for the Group transformation initiative: monitor progress and benefits in collaboration with all stream leaders and countries, establish a methodology for tracking benefits, and manage reporting to senior management and stakeholders.Assist the Chief Operational Performance Officer with cross-departmental tasks and projects, ensuring effective coordination among teams.Support Operational Performance teams with specific requests: project management (potentially across all departmental topics such as new store solutions, country support for openings, quality management, Supply Chain, and development of Indirect Procurement processes/tools), detailed analyses, and internal communications, which are vital for the department (including management of content and guidelines library, group events, newsletters, etc.).Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Management or Engineering and ideally have:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.Experience in fields such as Strategy, Project Management, Consulting, or Finance/Transaction Services.Strong financial and quantitative analysis skills.While ideally based in Levallois-Perret (Paris area), other European locations may be considered.
Proficiency in project management (organization, coordination, prioritization, etc.) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is essential. The candidate should have strong analytical capabilities and be fluent in both English and French (spoken and written).
A passion for challenging environments and assignments is crucial, along with a reputation for flexibility, curiosity, and adaptability.
The candidate should demonstrate a strong ability to deliver results while adhering to deadlines, exhibiting structured and organized approaches, as well as effective anticipation, organization, and prioritization skills.
Autonomy, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to handle unexpected situations are key attributes.
Additionally, strong synthesis skills (both oral and written) and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
