As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing effective recycling processes, overseeing a technical team, and ensuring compliance with regulations related to recycling and waste management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement recycling processes that meet or exceed industry standards
- Oversee a team of technical professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, staying informed about changes and updates
- Collaborate with local businesses to establish and maintain technical standards for recycling processes
- Identify and adopt new technologies to enhance recycling process efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and oversee budgets for technical aspects of the business, forecasting costs and monitoring expenditures
- Present analysis on company's technological status, goals, and progress
- Identify technologies that can enhance company's products and services
- Provide technical support to operations, defining and optimizing operational procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the recycling or waste management industry, metal recycling business is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and technical standards
- Curious on new recycling technologies and trends
- Results-oriented with a strong performance record, able to drive performance and profitability
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills, high level of organization and detail-orientation
- Good oral and written communication skills in German and English, French is a plus
