The Paris Brain Institute is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the DBS Collective Interest Project (CIP). The successful candidate will work on an interdisciplinary project focused on Parkinson's disease, specifically targeting the mesencephalic locomotor region (MLR) to develop cell-specific treatment approaches.
- Design and execute experiments to generate a neuroanatomical map of the MLR in monkey and human using 2D and 3D histological tools.
- Perform spatial transcriptomics on the MLR and analyze the results.
- Generate single-cell profiling of accessible chromatin using ATACseq.
- Plan and execute experiments, collect and analyze data, and participate in project discussions.
Requirements:
- PhD or equivalent degree in biology, medicine, or molecular biology.
- Strong background in neuroanatomy.
- Experience with 2D and 3D histology methods, imaging, and image analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
