Position OverviewJob Title: Information Security Engineer
Contract Type: Permanent
Role DescriptionAs an Information Security Engineer, you will be pivotal in safeguarding systems involved in railway enhancement, construction, or operational projects. Your contributions will be vital in protecting railway infrastructures from threats to Enterprise Information Systems (EIS or IT) and Industrial Information Systems (IIS or OT), ensuring adherence to existing standards and regulations. You will collaborate with an international team across various countries.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Requirement Analysis: Comprehending the specific cybersecurity needs of clients for their railway initiatives. Analyzing specifications and technical clauses, summarizing them, and incorporating relevant regulatory and normative standards in alignment with the client.
- Cybersecurity Solution Design: Crafting tailored cybersecurity solutions for projects, considering client constraints and objectives. Integrating advanced technologies to enhance system security (IT and OT).
- Risk Assessment and System Mapping: Evaluating risks affecting systems in collaboration with stakeholders. Creating a comprehensive mapping of information systems and drafting security requirements for implementation.
- Contract Support: Assisting clients in identifying and selecting qualified partners specializing in cybersecurity for project execution.
- Execution Oversight: Ensuring thorough monitoring of compliance during the execution of cybersecurity tasks by contractors.
- System Approval and Commissioning: Actively engaging in the approval process of railway information systems (IT or OT) by contributing to the compilation of the Homologation File, ensuring the acceptance of cyber risks prior to commissioning.
- Team Awareness: Educating teams on primary risks, necessary security standards, and best practices in cybersecurity. Acting as a technical advisor for project teams, offering specific recommendations to bolster system security (IT and OT).
You should possess a minimum of 2 years of successful experience in information systems and cybersecurity, preferably within the rail transport sector. Significant experience in cybersecurity, particularly in the rail or industrial domain, is essential. Candidates from non-cyber railway environments such as signaling, telecommunications, and low current systems are encouraged to apply, as well as those with cybersecurity expertise in other industrial systems.
In-depth knowledge of railway systems and their architecture is a considerable advantage. Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as EBIOS RM, NIST CSF, 62443, and 27xxx is a plus.
Strong teamwork abilities, excellent communication skills, and project management capabilities are necessary. Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.) are valued. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
