Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team at a cutting-edge deep-tech start-up. The company is working on a revolutionary product that uses image processing and computer vision techniques to detect early signs of skin cancer. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and extending build systems, cross-compilation tooling, release automation, and software for such environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop secure and complex systems, backends, and APIs
- Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure physical and software security of devices and applications
- Develop software to ensure the security and efficiency of the company's devices and applications
- Work with the team to build secure distributed systems using modern practices
- Monitor, alert, and update technologies
- Develop low-level debugging and profiling tools
- Write unit tests with Google test suite and Benchmark
- Implement Test-Driven Development and/or Behavior Driven Development
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience in C++, Python, or JavaScript
- Expertise in designing secure and complex systems, backends, and APIs
- Production experience with containerization technologies
- Proficiency in Git and best practices for collaborative development
- Familiarity with processing large volumes of images or video
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Collaborative and adaptable mindset for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Desirable Skills:
- Embedded Linux development and strong knowledge of the Linux OS and kernel
- Building secure distributed systems using modern practices
- Monitoring, alerting, and over-the-air update technologies
- Hardware manipulation and setup
- Low-level debugging and profiling tools
- Writing unit tests with Google test suite and Benchmark
