Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Metro Operations and Maintenance Manager to join our team at Transdev France. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering fully developed bid plans in relation to maintenance, engineering, and asset management for Metro operations.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of key assets and systems, including horizontal assets, overhead power supply, network power supply, signalling, and information system assets. They will also be able to consider and integrate technical, procurement, finance, and human resources aspects of the bid and propose a coherent policy and strategy for purchasing and/or subcontracting goods and services.

The Metro Operations and Maintenance Manager will work closely with other workstreams to provide the following services:

  • Pre-bid activity: mapping local and key international stakeholders, partners, and suppliers, identifying key elements for potential improvements and cost optimisations, and identifying potential KPIs for future operations.
  • Pre-bid preparation: reviewing and developing procedures and templates, identifying and planning resources, establishing deliverables, and advising on contractual best practices.
  • On contractual/commercial aspects/procurement: assisting negotiations of commercial contracts with suppliers and sub-contractors, providing a first estimation of resources needed for maintenance, preparing and feeding the cost model, and identifying cost optimisations and savings.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the participation/preparation of bids for maintenance, ILS/LCC, or RAM for Metro/Rail turnkey projects or for any of the involved systems. They will also have a degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or public works engineering and be fluent in English.
