Position Overview
Join our dynamic Technical Artists team at Ubisoft, where you will collaborate closely with the Art Technical Director and engage directly with our creative teams.
As an Artistic Technical Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing daily assistance to teams focused on World Building, ensuring alignment with the studio's map production objectives.
- Identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues that hinder production, while tracking their resolution.
- Monitoring performance metrics to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Supporting team members in optimizing their tasks for better productivity.
- Conducting technical oversight of assets within the game engine.
- Delivering comprehensive quality reports on overall activities related to world creation and map development.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A foundational experience as a Technical Artist, preferably within AAA or AA game development.
- Experience in various aspects of world building, including level art, lighting, props, and level design.
- Proficiency in at least one 3D modeling software (such as 3DS Max, Substance Designer, Maya, or Blender).
- Substantial experience with game engines (like Unreal Engine, Unity, or other proprietary systems) and a thorough understanding of the artistic workflow and pipeline.
- Versatility and a deep comprehension of world building, complemented by strong synthesis skills and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Experience with visual scripting.
- The capability to work in an international environment and communicate fluently in English on a daily basis.
