About the Role
Lionbridge Games is seeking a skilled Global Games Localization Expert to join our team based in Paris. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and organizing games localization projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize games localization projects, including localization and audio VO recording projects, from kickoff to post-production.
- Oversee technical preparation of translation projects using tools such as MemoQ, SDL Trados, and XTM.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and understanding their business goals, priorities, and challenges.
- Own overall financial management, gathering and reviewing financial reporting, VAR, labor, and PCM results, and addressing customer complaints and KPI data.
- Drive localization performance, financial growth, and innovation, bringing significant value to the account.
- Report regularly to Operations/Production Management and Site Management.
- Manage communication and successful relations with clients, internal stakeholders, linguist resources, and recording studios.
- Define and continuously update project planning and prioritization, collaborating with Lionbridge teams and internal/external production teams daily.
- Provide regular production status and budget forecast updates.
- Manage client quoting, invoicing, and vendor/freelancer PO-processes.
- Assess and monitor the quality of multi-lingual projects, tracking KPIs.
- Offer feedback and creative solutions for process improvement, resource allocation, services, and client relationships.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the localization process, providing guidance to clients.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing games localization projects, with at least 3 years of direct management experience.
- Technical proficiency in CAT tools, specifically MemoQ, SDL Trados, and XTM.
- Vertical knowledge of localization audio recording production flow.
- Track record of managing two or more shipped AAA video game localization projects, including Translation and Audio Recording (Voice Over).
- Passion for games and understanding of game development and the gaming industry.
- Comfortable managing professional customer relations and communication.
- Self-starter with problem-solving skills, accustomed to working independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible team player with the ability to multitask, negotiate, and make decisions with the team and project outcome in mind.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to prioritize and handle multiple games localization projects simultaneously.
- Excellent English communication skills, with expertise in written and verbal communication, including email, status reports, proposals, negotiation, etc.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and controlling project schedules and delivery within set budgets.
- Experience working with internal and remote worldwide teams across various time zones (translation & recording studios).
- Fluency in an additional language, on top of French and English, is an asset.
