POSITION OVERVIEW

The individual in this role is tasked with the strategic recruitment of students. This includes the formulation and execution of marketing, communication, and recruitment initiatives that directly contribute to the attainment of the University's enrollment objectives. While a significant portion of the responsibilities involves off-campus activities, the role also encompasses on-campus recruitment and liaison duties, such as conducting campus tours, responding to inquiries via phone and email, hosting online information sessions, and facilitating student engagement post-admission offer.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

  1. Spearhead student recruitment efforts for AUP
    As a vital member of the University's recruitment team, the individual will drive the student recruitment process, generating qualified inquiries and applications across various student categories (first-year, transfer, visiting/COOP, summer, and graduate) in alignment with established targets. Strategies to achieve these objectives will include both in-person and digital marketing initiatives, fostering relationships within designated international markets, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  2. Represent the University at local and international events
    The individual will act as the University’s ambassador at diverse events, including school visits, educational fairs, and exhibitions, as well as individual meetings with schools, colleges, universities, and other stakeholders. In this capacity, the individual is expected to cultivate meaningful relationships with all relevant entities that aid in successful student recruitment. Significant travel, both nationally and internationally, is a fundamental aspect of this role.
  3. Assist current AUP students wishing to continue their studies
    The individual will support all currently enrolled students at AUP who wish to extend their studies at the University. This includes two main groups: those categorized as 'visitors' interested in either prolonging their stay or transitioning to degree-seeking status, and undergraduate students aiming to continue into graduate programs through the University's BA/MA pathway. This responsibility will involve timely responses to inquiries and personal interactions with students.
  4. Oversee pre-application inquiries
    Collaborating with colleagues in similar roles, the individual will manage all pre-application inquiries directed to AUP through the CRM system, as well as through phone and in-person interactions. Responses to these inquiries will be provided using standardized templates appropriate to the nature of the queries received. Efficient and prompt responses are crucial during this phase, organized on a rota basis according to workload and seasonal demands.
  5. Formulate operational plans for designated recruitment territories
    The individual will create and implement tailored operational plans aimed at attracting students across all categories (first-year, transfer, visiting/COOP, summer, and graduate) in accordance with established targets. For each country or region, the individual will develop plans in collaboration with relevant colleagues, incorporating digital and social media, print materials, advertising, and partnerships with third-party agencies to generate inquiries and applications to AUP. The individual will hold primary responsibility for specific international markets.
  6. Manage post-offer communications and yield strategies
    As part of the Student Recruitment Team, the individual will oversee the relationship between AUP and students who have received admission offers until they finalize their enrollment. The individual will be accountable for a designated group of students, working diligently to ensure their confirmation and enrollment at AUP. Success in this area will be measured through conversion rates and other relevant metrics.
  7. Develop market intelligence and awareness
    The individual will maintain a thorough understanding of trends and developments in all assigned international markets. This includes compiling a list of resources for regular reference, attending pertinent meetings and conferences, participating in regular updates within the Admissions Office, engaging with academic colleagues at AUP, and sustaining a network of professional contacts.
  8. Build a strong network across the AUP campus
    The individual will establish and nurture a network across the AUP campus to enhance student recruitment efforts. This network will include administrative and academic staff, as well as various student organizations active on campus.
  9. Foster a collaborative team environment
    The individual, along with colleagues, will contribute to cultivating a collaborative team culture. While responsibilities are clearly defined, each team member is expected to develop a comprehensive understanding of all areas of activity for which the team is accountable.
  10. Support the overarching mission of the Admissions Office
    The individual may be called upon to assist with various aspects of student recruitment and admissions as directed by the Vice President and Director of Enrollment Management. The need for such support will depend on factors such as seasonal demands, team workloads, absences, and changes in the external environment.
  11. The individual may also participate in cross-functional projects initiated by the University. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as requested by the Supervisor based on the needs of the Admissions Office.
