About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Expert to join our team as the Head of Accounting. This role is centered in the SSC organization, where you will play a key part in the relationship between accounting and internal and external stakeholders to maximize our impact.

This position requires strong business acumen, as well as a deep understanding of accounting, process optimization, and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.

You will lead a team of 12 professionals responsible for processing all volumetric accounting flows and centralizing this information into monthly reporting packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage AP processing: responsible for accounts payable (supplier invoices posting, payments runs, DPO, aging balances, short-term payment forecast).
  • Oversee sales administration and billing: in relation with IT services and business stakeholders, prepare billing, customer direct debits, cash application.
  • Lead cash collection: in collaboration with correspondents in sales operations, collect activities for private and public organizations.
  • Ensure month-end reporting: responsible for reporting actuals on revenue, external expenses cut-off, fixed assets, and related balance sheet and working capital impacts in IFRS and local GAAP.
Daily Tasks and Objectives
  • Act as BPO for accounts payable and order-to-cash processes.
  • Manage a team of 12 people, including 3 direct reports.
  • Review operating KPIs (volume and quality control).
  • Organize, collaborate, and support local sales teams on customer inquiries (including ticketing process, commercial contracts).
  • Supervise quality and controls.
  • Lead cash collection and optimize group DSO.
Closing Activities and Internal Controls
  • As BPO, ensure review of internal controls in Sox referential.
  • Acknowledge accurate closing activities for your team.
Efficiency Optimization
  • Drive continuous improvement on internal control - Implement robust accounting controls and documentation globally.
  • Ensure efficient collaboration with other finance teams (GL, FP&A, Corporate Finance), to ensure accuracy in accounts.
  • Identify process pain points and drive improvements.

  • Have experience in financial audit.
  • Have experience working in Shared Service centers.
  • Hold management skills in an agile environment.
  • Are accustomed to working in an international environment.
  • Possess a strong level of English.

Now, it would be fantastic if you had fluency in French and/or German and skills in SAP S4 Hana and/or Zuora (billing tool).

About the Opportunity

At Doctolib, we offer competitive salary ranges according to location, experience, and qualifications, estimated around €80,000-€120,000 per year for this position in Levallois-Perret, France.
