Fraser Dove International is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical organization to find a strong leader to drive multi-site quality operations with external partners.

About the Role

As the Global Head Quality & Excellence, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a 3-5 year strategic plan for the Quality department in cooperation with the Chief Quality Officer. You will also ensure quality governance and oversight on all quality-related projects, and work with the Chief Quality Officer to establish and maintain the Quality Organization Budget and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze the needs of each program, evaluate processes end to end, identify stages and milestones in calendar, and scope, goals, talents, and resources.
  • Lead resource allocation analysis exercises and ensure the optimization of resources, time, cost, and quality.
  • Oversee Operational Excellence for the Quality Organization, establish programs to identify gaps/deficiencies in established Quality and/or Sites processes, and trigger and implement actions to ensure cGMP compliant, robust, and efficient processes.
  • Identify best practices across different Quality units internally and perform external benchmarks where appropriate, elaborate plans for productivity and operational improvements accordingly.
  • Facilitate the preparation of major group Quality management meetings, or Quality input to group management meetings, and facilitate the Group Quality Lead Team.
  • Support preparation/execution to health authorities inspections and internal audits as needed, and partner with site functions to promote Quality & Safety Culture.
  • Ensure resources and systems are in place for the Quality liaison to strategic partners, e.g., license holders for product developed and manufactured.
  • Direct reports up to 18 globally and oversee Quality Strategy.
Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field (pharmacy, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry).
  • General Management/Business degree an advantage (e.g., MBA or equivalent).
  • Operational Excellence certification required (black belt preferred).
  • Experience in quality assurance within the Pharmaceutical or FMCG industry, with strong experience in the field of operations.
  • Direct experience with multiple US FDA inspections, as well as inspections by European health authorities.
  • Direct experience with Project Management (Capital expenses, Product TT or efficiency programs).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work adapt to the company and local culture in a transformational complex environment.
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to transform the organization with a strong focus on people.
