Back Market is the world's leading refurbished electronics marketplace, with a team of over 650 professionals powering operations in 16 countries and counting. Our engineering department, the Bureau of Technology, is at the heart of Back Market, supported by our Platform group, which includes over 10 specialized teams addressing cross-cutting technical issues to enhance our operational capabilities.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Data Engineering Manager to lead our Data Platform squad (10 engineers) within the Platform division. As a key enabler for a company like Back Market, data plays a crucial role in our success. We need a talented individual to help build reliable, high-performing, and secure data infrastructures and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a collaborative team in delivering great software that our customers and sellers will love
- Work in an agile environment where engineering teams build, launch, monitor, and support the sections they own
- Develop and maintain data platforms using Python, Golang, and other technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision-making
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering
- Experience working in agile development teams with knowledge of our tech stack (GCP, Terraform, Datadog, etc.)
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (2 days per week in the office)
