Strategic Development Leader

Volvo Group is seeking a visionary leader to drive strategic transformation and excellence in our Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) Legal and Compliance department. As the Assistant General Counsel and Head of Legal and Compliance Strategic Development, you will be responsible for spearheading pioneering legal and compliance initiatives, leading a high-performing team, and fostering a culture of continuous growth and high performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Development: Lead the transformation of our legal and compliance operations, ensuring strategic alignment with GTP's business objectives.
- Legal Operations: Foster efficiency and innovation in our team of L&C counsels, creating and implementing new processes and standards that deliver functional excellence.
- People Leadership: Manage, coach, and inspire a team of direct reports and L&C professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a focus on creating a positive, high-performance culture.
- Strong background in legal or compliance matters, with a strong business strategy or transformation background.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience, ideally combining business and legal/compliance roles or senior management roles in transformation projects.
- Superior communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational stakeholders, including leadership.
- Proficiency in English (both verbal and written, including legal/compliance proficiency) is essential; proficiency in two additional languages is highly appreciated.
