Position Overview

The Industry Risk Management Specialist plays a crucial role in evaluating and mitigating risks within the Industry sector, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Group Risk Management framework. This position involves a thorough analysis of various risk maps across different functions and locations, providing essential expertise and guidance to minimize potential risks faced by the Industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct the annual risk evaluation for the Industry by overseeing the diverse industry risk maps in collaboration with key stakeholders such as Quality, Supply Chain, Internal and External Manufacturing, and Product Strategy.

2. Collaborate with various teams (risk owners) to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring effective follow-up within the Industry and across individual departments or sites.

3. Organize and prepare for the quarterly Industry Risk Committee meetings in partnership with risk sponsors and owners, facilitating discussions among stakeholders.

4. Establish control mechanisms to ensure the sustainability of risk mitigation efforts, promptly informing the Industry leadership team of emerging risks and ensuring all pertinent issues are addressed.

5. Ensure that the risk management framework aligns with the standards set by the Group Risk Management Department, supporting the overall risk management process through documentation and participation in Group risk committees.

6. Define and oversee the Business Continuity Management Systems for the Industry, implementing corporate guidelines, prioritizing disruption scenarios, conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIA), and maintaining Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) through continuous improvement efforts.

7. Engage with the leadership of the supported organization to promote a culture of risk management, facilitating communication and training to enhance awareness of risk management practices.

8. Collaborate with other Group departments on cross-functional risks, including internal audit, compliance, finance, information systems, legal, and insurance.

Qualifications

- Master's degree with a focus or certification in Risk Management.

- Proficiency in English and French.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to risk management, preferably within the industrial sector.

- Background in audit and/or internal control.

- Experience in developing and implementing business continuity plans.

- Strong consulting skills and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and supply chain is advantageous.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, assertiveness, and a rigorous, methodical approach.

- Team-oriented with a dynamic attitude and a focus on performance and results.
