Role Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned Project Manager specializing in Upstream Urban Transportation Studies to spearhead our initiatives in crafting holistic mobility solutions. This position entails conducting in-depth research and socio-economic assessments to bolster sustainable transport initiatives and infrastructure projects.

As a member of the local Transport & Development team, you will work in conjunction with colleagues focused on the Mobility sector, emphasizing the initial phases of projects: diagnostics, opportunities, feasibility, and preliminary analyses. Our assignments guide clients from the formulation of mobility policies to their execution, encompassing planning, studies, consultancy, and the technical and economic design phases of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

What will your duties include?

  • Lead interdisciplinary teams in executing upstream studies (opportunity, feasibility, preliminary study, pre-project) in urban and interurban transport, transport master plans, evaluation of current systems, and suggesting enhancements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding study execution and reporting.
  • Contribute to project definition studies and functional mobility assessments by evaluating needs and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Oversee and assist in responding to tenders within the sector.
  • Support business development activities.
  • Efficiently manage projects by overseeing timelines, budgets, deliverables, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Your areas of focus will include:

  • Transport Studies: Assess various transport modes (metro, bus, tram, etc.) and formulate strategies to improve efficiency and integration.
  • Urban Mobility Studies: Investigate urban transport requirements, evaluate existing systems, and propose enhancements to urban mobility.
  • Transport Infrastructure: Engage in the planning, design, and management of transport infrastructures such as roads, bridges, stations, and terminals.
  • Sustainable Development: Integrate sustainable practices into transport projects by prioritizing energy efficiency, emission reduction, and accessibility for all.

Potential Projects You May Work On:

  • Multimodal studies for the implementation of metropolitan regional express services.
  • Development of a new public transport line, including corridor definition, mode selection, ridership analysis, and line feasibility.
  • Traffic assessments and recommendations for calming major thoroughfares.
  • Analysis of urban territorial frameworks and modal shift evaluations.
  • Prospective studies on the evolution of mobility practices and the impact of teleworking and third places.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field with a focus on Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or Transport Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in urban transport planning or a related discipline.
