About the RoleWe provide a wide range of cloud products to our customers, including dedicated servers, virtual machines, bare-metal cloud servers, storage solutions, and more.
The Cloud Hardware Solutions Architect will play a crucial role in designing and developing server hardware solutions that meet our customers' needs.
This position requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams, as well as interaction with various manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and evaluations based on input from Product, R&D, and Innovation teams.
- Identify possible server hardware OEM or ODM solutions and relevant components.
- Design, build, and evaluate server hardware prototypes from identified solutions.
- Evaluate and validate HPC architecture with vendors.
- Ensure functionality and performance meet design specifications.
- Document technologies, findings, and results to support successful qualification.
- Engage stakeholders to stay aligned.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Advanced knowledge of server hardware technology, including computer architectures and various types of technology and components.
- Familiarity with Open Compute Project (OCP).
- Good knowledge of system-level concepts, including BMC and Firmware management, Linux-based environments, and general system administration.
- Understanding of HPC/AI architecture, including interconnect topologies and protocols, high-performance and distributed storage, firmware management, and jobs scheduling and benchmarking.
- Knowledge of datacenter constraints, including power and cooling limitations at the rack and datacenter level.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage mid- and long-term technical projects, summarize complex information for non-technical audiences, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
