Afev is seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Development Lead to spearhead our impactful initiatives in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
As the Community Development Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our 'Kaps' and 'VER' action programs. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, from developing strategic recruitment plans to mentoring volunteers and overseeing the implementation of impactful solidarity projects.
Your Mission:
- Craft and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract talented individuals who are committed to making a difference.
- Conduct thorough interviews to identify candidates who possess the skills, experience, and passion necessary for success in our programs.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new recruits, guiding them through housing arrangements and initial training sessions.
- Facilitate engaging and informative training sessions that equip volunteers with the knowledge and tools they need to excel in their roles.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to volunteers, monitoring their progress and offering guidance as they undertake their solidarity projects.
- Collaborate effectively with Civil Service volunteers, fostering a strong sense of teamwork and shared purpose.
- Lead and oversee the execution of diverse solidarity projects, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and impact objectives.
Profile:
Desired Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in local development, community animation, or education sciences, coupled with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in popular education and familiarity with the educational sector and/or urban policy are highly desirable.
Professional Skills: Proven team management abilities, genuine interest in youth-focused projects, strong project management skills, and a solid understanding of the education and/or local development sectors. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
