The role of Manager of SoC IP Verification is pivotal in driving innovation within the automotive sector.

Position Overview:

The automotive industry is undergoing a significant transformation. Key trends such as electrification, autonomous driving, diverse mobility solutions, and enhanced connectivity are reshaping the landscape. Silicon Mobility, a subsidiary of Intel, is at the forefront of this evolution, dedicated to facilitating the swift transition to electric and hybrid vehicles.

As a recognized leader in technology for cleaner, safer, and smarter mobility, Silicon Mobility specializes in designing, developing, and marketing versatile, real-time, secure, and open semiconductor solutions known as FPCU (Field Programmable Control Unit). These solutions are tailored for the automotive industry, aimed at improving energy efficiency and minimizing emissions while ensuring passenger safety.

This position is located within our primary Research and Development center, situated in a prominent technology park.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the FPCU IC Engineering team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies for IP/SoC verification.
  • Leading a team of verification engineers, both internal and external.
  • Participating in the recruitment process for team members.
  • Setting clear objectives and overseeing task execution.
  • Serving as an expert in IP/SoC verification tasks.

Your expertise will encompass:

  • Reviewing and defining Top Level Test Plans for IP/SoC.
  • Overseeing the implementation of these plans.
  • Supporting test execution, debugging, and coverage analysis.
  • Conducting SoC top-level verification using simulation, FPGA, and hardware accelerators.
  • Ensuring thorough verification at both RTL and gate levels.
  • Leading Functional Safety (ISO26262) verification efforts at both IP and SoC levels, including fault simulation campaigns.
  • Managing verification tools and serving as the primary interface with EDA providers.
  • Developing automation scripts for verification design flows.
  • Staying updated on verification methodologies and tools.

This role necessitates proactive collaboration with the entire SoC development team.

Qualifications:

Education: A strong academic background in microelectronics engineering is essential.

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • At least 15 years of experience in IP/SoC verification.
  • Proficient in SystemVerilog and UVM verification methodologies.
  • Strong background in Verilog/VHDL RTL design.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and C/C++.
  • Experience in team leadership and task outsourcing.
  • Solid understanding of SoC architecture and ARM Amba AXI/AHB/APB bus protocols.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Makefile, Shell, Perl, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Siemens/Synopsys/Cadence EDA tools is highly desirable.
  • Experience with functional safety standards (ISO26262) is a plus.
