Airport Operations Supervisor

As a key member of the Etihad Airways team, the Airport Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of airport activities. This involves overseeing the performance of teams and service providers, ensuring that financial, customer service, quality, safety, and security objectives are met in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, direction, and supervision of airport operations, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety, security, regulatory, and company standards.
- Monitor and report on safety and security outcomes, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate the management of special guest requirements, including VIP, PRM, and special category guests, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Liaise with Guest Control, Network Control, and SOC to manage operational disruptions, minimize impact on guest service, and maintain operational integrity.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, disruption planning, diversion/delay handling, and business continuity plans to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure on-time performance, coordinating mitigation, accurate reporting, and follow-up of delays to minimize disruptions.
- Drive airport ancillary sales promotion, coordination, process compliance monitoring, and adherence to associated targets.
- Monitor and report on customer service-related standards, including performance against associated KPIs, to ensure exceptional guest experience.
- Ensure adherence to local authority requirements, including arrival/departure documentation and reporting.
- Make informed, day-to-day operational decisions to manage and mitigate operational safety and security-related risks, leveraging effective evaluation and decision-making skills.
- Identify and report safety and security-related occurrences and hazards in accordance with company procedures and local regulations.
- Degree-level education or relevant industry experience, with a demonstrable knowledge of frontline service delivery and communication skills.
- 5-7 years' experience in service, hospitality, aviation, including Airport Operations experience, with a relevant knowledge of aviation, travel industry, and/or airport policies.
- Mature personality with outstanding communication skills, supervisory skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to balance guest-centric focus and corporate interests while maintaining the highest safety and security standards and coordinating teams and service providers.
