We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager Packaging Development to lead our packaging development initiatives for a luxury make-up brand. As a key member of our R&D Packaging team, you will be responsible for driving the development and qualification of packaging solutions from early inception to in-market delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of packaging engineers in the development and qualification of packaging solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D formula, procurement, manufacturing, planning, and finance, to ensure packaging solutions meet business requirements
- Develop and implement packaging solutions that meet consumer needs, are technically and financially viable, and align with brand and business objectives
- Conduct risk assessment studies and establish homologation plans to ensure packaging solutions meet regulatory requirements
- Validate packaging solutions through testing and line trials at filling and manufacturing facilities
- Establish and maintain component and finished good specifications
- Track development milestones and communicate updates to cross-functional partners
- Approve quality standards and range boards for componentry and finished goods
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in technical packaging roles, with a focus on team management and leadership
- Proven track record of leading new packaging development initiatives from design phase to in-market delivery
- Master's degree in sciences, such as packaging, chemistry, or mechanical engineering
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a culturally diverse organization
- Fluency in English
