Job PurposeThe Study Manager is responsible for project management of projects at feasibility stages with involvement of a limited number of engineering disciplines. This includes clear development of conceptual designs, feasibility studies, and preliminary cost estimates within budget and schedule.
Job Accountabilities- Directly manages several feasibility stages in the field of CO2 capture, green hydrogen, or ammonia production.
- The study manager is generally mobilized half-time on the project management of feasibility studies and therefore leads two studies in parallel.
- In charge of the relations with the client with the support of the execution team.
- Directly accountable for the project finances, including follow-up of man-hours for all disciplines, billing to the client, preparation of Variation Orders, and ICPO when relevant.
- In charge of study schedule, discipline mobilization and coordination, deliverables register.
- Ensure the technical consistencies between the disciplines and approve the reports and deliverables.
- Organize internal stakeholder reviews and workshop/reviews with the client, including weekly meetings.
- Sometimes supports proposal preparation or supports process activities on projects in function with his workload on study management.
- Reports regularly on progress, status, and issues to the head of department.
At least 15 years of experience, with:
- Technical background in process engineering at senior/lead level and ideally related to carbon capture, hydrogen, or ammonia technologies.
- Experience with client interfaces.
- Proactive, self-starter motivated towards achieving pre-agreed targets and objectives.
- Results-driven: accountable, determined to outperform, leads change, customer-focused, active listening.
- People: leads with courage, respects and empowers, mentors and develops the team.
- Drive Lean, Fit for Purpose mindset.
- Act as the primary technical interface for project studies related queries in this client-facing role.
