Job Purpose:
- To provide technical expertise for the timely completion of studies and investigations, effectively communicating findings to clients and other disciplines.
- Manage and deliver work scopes and/or overall studies within agreed cost, schedule, and quality boundaries, ensuring work is delivered according to Genesis procedures.
- To prepare and provide input to manhour estimates and proposals based on client requirements and set work scopes, acting as a proposal manager to coordinate disciplines and ensure high-quality documents.
- To support business development activities through client meetings, attending conferences, industry events, and workgroup meetings.
- Mentor and assist the development of junior members of Genesis Paris, potentially becoming a line manager for junior resources and future recruits.

We are seeking strong individuals to grow the Energy Transition team of Genesis Paris. Genesis is delivering high-value technical consultancy and advisory services on various topics contributing to defining tomorrow's energy landscape, including decarbonization of industry, CO2 value chain, hydrogen production, and Power to X technologies.
As a study manager, you will actively contribute to the growth of the Genesis Paris office, responsible for the execution of early-phase projects (from Conceptual to Pre-FEED) for various clients, developers, and operators of breakthrough energy projects. You will work in a multi-cultural environment and multi-disciplinary setting, collaborating closely with Genesis offices worldwide and the wider Technip Energies Group.
Job Scope:
- Prepare proposals outlining methodology, schedule, resourcing requirements, and costs.
- Ensure study scope is executed in line with Genesis expectations for delivery, quality, and innovation.
- Perform multi-discipline field techno-economic development studies to provide technically robust and optimized solutions for client commercial drivers.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise, both internally and during interactions with clients.
- Ensure clients are informed of study technical, commercial, and schedule progress, and that deviations from plan are identified and discussed with the client in a timely manner.
- Proactively communicate with all stakeholders (both internal and external) by implementing a 'no surprises' policy.
- Actively identify future work opportunities through business development and networking.
- Develop client relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
Typical Background, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
- Relevant engineering degree qualification. Considered relevant background: process engineering, project engineering, renewable asset development, other technical energy roles.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience, with the majority in the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Highly competent in field development/process engineering and with appreciation of broader disciplines (construction, project, etc.).
- Experience in feasibility and conceptual design stages of a project.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English (written & oral) with French language skills preferred.
- Proactive communicator with strong personal awareness.
- Client-focused with experience in facilitating client meetings and managing client relationships.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial relationships in the context of project delivery.
- Understanding of Energy Transition markets and drivers (technical aspects, economics, regulatory, etc.).
