About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Hydrogen Systems Engineer to join our New Energies team. As part of our exciting journey to pivot Vallourec's business towards the Energy Transition, this role will play a key part in developing our solutions for hydrogen storage.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing bespoke hydrogen solutions based on customer storage needs, adapting technological modules into the right systems for the customer. This will involve process definition, safety features, and tailoring the overall Process, Instrumentation, and Control strategy of the plant.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop hydrogen storage systems, including process definition, safety features, and instrumentation.
- Specify and source key outsourced components, such as interconnection tubings, valves, and temperature and pressure transmitters.
- Contribute to the development and launch phase of our hydrogen storage solutions, including industrialization, design, and project execution.
- Analyze the main features of the solution and propose improvements for better cost effectiveness, enhanced safety, and reduced footprint.
- Experience in system engineering and technical coordination in the context of gas/fluid management and/or pressure vessels in industrial contexts.
- Strong knowledge of process simulation, PFD/PID, instrumentation, and technical project coordination.
- Prior experience in energy transition and/or hydrogen business is a plus.
You will join a dynamic and agile internal start-up, with high visibility and ambition for the future of the company. The team is responsible for developing and launching our hydrogen storage solutions, and you will play a key role in this process.
The team is supported by technical developers, R&D teams, and regional business developers, and you will have the opportunity to work with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and optimize our solutions.
